About StudyDesign AI
StudyDesign AI is a product name, not the research-methodology term "study design." It is an AI tutoring app for Year 11 and 12 students finishing senior secondary school in Australia — VCE, HSC, QCE, WACE, SACE, NTCET, TCE and the ACT. It marks written answers against each state's own official assessment criteria.
Our mission
Every senior secondary student deserves access to quality tutoring. It should not depend on whether their family can afford $40–60/hour for a private tutor. StudyDesign AI provides personalised, curriculum-aligned study support across all eight Australian states and territories, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Unlike generic AI chatbots, every response from StudyDesign AI is grounded in each state's own official curriculum documents and calibrated to that state's real marking rubrics — VCAA's study designs in Victoria, NESA's syllabuses in NSW, and the equivalent authority in every other state. For VCE specifically, that means 67 official VCAA study design documents, over 1,184 chunks from past VCAA exams, and examiner reports, so tutoring matches what students will actually be assessed on.
What we offer
AI Tutoring
Tutoring across 76 VCE subjects, grounded in official VCAA study designs. Students can ask questions, get explanations, and receive study guidance aligned to what VCAA actually assesses.
Practice Tests & AI Marking
AI-generated practice tests with questions calibrated to real VCAA exam formats. Students submit written answers and receive marking feedback aligned to VCAA rubrics, with specific annotations on their work.
Student Safety
All content is moderated for safety. The platform is designed exclusively for educational use and does not collect unnecessary personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
For schools and educators
StudyDesign AI is a supplementary educational tool designed to support classroom teaching, not replace it. Our platform aligns with the Victorian curriculum and can be used alongside existing school programs to provide additional study support for students.

Content safety & moderation
All AI interactions are moderated to ensure content remains appropriate and educational. The platform is designed for students aged 16+ and does not allow generation of inappropriate content.
