Ohm's law
V = IR (voltage in V, current in A, resistance in Ω).
Resistors in series — total resistance
R_total = R₁ + R₂ + R₃ ...
Resistors in parallel — total resistance
1/R_total = 1/R₁ + 1/R₂ + ...
Power dissipated in a resistor
P = VI = I²R = V²/R.
Why does current stay the same through series components?
Charge is conserved — no junctions for it to split.
What is EMF?
Energy supplied per unit charge by a source. Equal to terminal voltage when no internal resistance loss.
